Howard W. Barrett

Howard William Barrett, 80, Paoli, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at 12:50 a.m. at his home.
Born Dec. 31, 1926, in Orleans, he was the son of the late Delza and Alta Clements Barrett.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, retired from the old Cornwells Co. and Milin Wood Products, both in Paoli, a member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist in Millersburg and a former member of the Stamperscreek Township Trustee Board.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mariellan Williams, on July 3, 2003; a son, Joe Barrett; two brothers, Lawrence and John Barrett; and two sisters, Vivian Barrett and Velma Fisher.
Survivors include four daughters, Eva Hawkins, Tillie Drake and Jackie Bosley, all of Paoli, and Barbara Walton of Marengo; a son, Clifford Barrett of Princeton; three sisters, Zelma Rowell of Muncie, Eloise Lay of Shirley and Mildred Williams of Paoli; and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli.
Funeral: Saturday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Stamperscreek Cemetery.
Officiant: Elder Jesse Motsinger.
