Louisville man drowns in Harrison pond
Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the drowning of a Louisville man south of Corydon.
The officers found Eugene M. Holder, 66, Thursday in a farm pond on private property off Wiseman Road after they were called by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Dept. at 10:40 a.m.
Holder’s body was discovered by a hunter.
Harrison County Coroner Steve Hamm said Holder died as the result of an accidental drowning.
Conservation Officers said Holder was last seen about 10:30 a.m. two days earlier by the same hunter who found his body in the pond. Holder’s wife had reported him missing when he didn’t return that Tuesday from fishing.
Assisting at the scene besides the three agencies previously listed were members of Harrison County EMS and Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Dept.
