Evelyn Bliss

Evelyn Bliss, 93, Corydon, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born March 10, 1914, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Harry O. and Daisy Neely Hottell.
She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church near Corydon, Old Capital Saddle Club and Oak Grove Home Economics Club, and was a former Girl Scout leader and a former Friendly Neighbors 4-H club leader.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruel W. Bliss; two infant sons; a granddaughter, Cindy Graf; a great-grandson, Todd Knable; a brother, Lewis Hottell; and a sister, Leola Smith.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy Hughes, Pat Sams and Betty Hughes, all of Corydon, and Judi Foreman of Elizabeth; two brothers, Carmen Hottell of Corydon and Max Hottell of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister, Jean Gross of Louisville; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 2 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 28, after 8 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery west of Corydon.
Officiants: The Revs. Betty Ann Garrett and Ron Russell.
Pallbearers: Bruce Martin, Dale and David Hughes, Derrick, Cary, Lance and Andrew Foreman.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Oak Grove Cemetery.
