Gordon Brown, 85, Corydon, formerly of Louisville, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Sept. 6, 1922, near McComb, Miss., he was the son of the late Clarence and Camille Price Brown.
He was a graduate of Male High School in Louisville, a corporal in the 8th Army Infantry during World War II, a 1948 graduate of the University of Kentucky, and president and owner of Argus Co. from 1957 until his retirement. He was married to the former Bernadette Desalle from 1951 to 1974.
Survivors include two brothers, Douglas Brown of Starke, Fla., and Carter Brown of Augusta, Ga.; a son, Mark Brown of New York City; two daughters, Claire Brown of Tucson, Ariz., and Natalie Ravlin of Corvallis, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial service: Saturday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville followed by a reception at his home in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Harrison County Hospital Foundation.
