Ann Elizabeth Elbert Eckart, 90, Edwardsville, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at her home.
Born Aug. 23, 1917, in Dogwood, she was the daughter of the late Curtie Albert Crecelius Elbert and Sidney Matthew Elbert.
She was a 60-plus-year member of Edwardsville United Methodist Church, and a member of the Nellie Sharp Sunday School Class, Willing Workers of the Edwardsville United Methodist Church, Edwardettes Homemakers Club, Skyline Homemakers Club and the 55+ Club at Tunnel Hill Christian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Lester Frank Eckart, and a brother, Sidney Matthew Elbert Jr.
Survivors include her children, Roger and Veneda Keithley, both of New Albany; a brother, Lambert Elbert of Corydon; a sister, Laura Elbert Smith of Frenchtown; and Lois Bottom and Debbie Carpenter, both who cared for her.
Visitation: Monday, Nov. 5, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 6, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with interment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Pallbearers: Bill Sellers, Dale Lafferre, Calvin Appelhaus, Lyn Lockman, Roger Harbison and Paul Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers: Willing Workers of Edwardsville United Methodist Church.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Edwardsville United Methodist Church or Hospice of Southern Indiana.
