Ralph E. Russell

Ralph Edward Russell, 80, Corydon, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Nov. 6, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of the late Frank and Hazel Gillette Russell.
He was a retired switchman for the Burlington Northern Railroad Co. in Kansas City, was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Floyds Knobs and the Masonic lodge in Liberty, Mo.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mattie Berniece Cain.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn L. Jenkins of Floyds Knobs and Kristine L. Tarwater of Harrisonville, Mo.; a sister; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Nov. 2, after 2 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial at a later date in White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone, Mo.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice and Palliative Care of Southern Indiana.
