Donald L. Lindig
Donald L. Lindig, 63, Georgetown, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born June 9, 1944, in Louisville, he was a retired production worker at General Electric in Louisville for 40 years, a member of Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Edwardsville, Blue River Saddle Club and Old Capitol Saddle Club, a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club, a Little League baseball coach in Edwardsville and Galena.
Survivors include his wife, the former Arlene Markland; two sons, Kevin Lindig of Palmyra and Scott Lindig of Georgetown; a daughter, Laura Pardon of Louisville; his father and stepmother, William W. and Sylvia Lindig of Georgetown; a brother, Kenny Lindig of Louisville; two sisters, Judy Gadd of Elizabeth and Diane Lindig of Georgetown; and six grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Nov. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 2, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Friday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Edwardsville Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Paul Edward Denny. Pallbearers: Doug, Jeff and Greg Markland, Robert Stumler, Dan Harrington, Derrill Barnickle, Dwight Lang, Vernon Geiss and Larry Kelley.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Jude Hospital, the American Heart Association or his church.
