Sectional football pairings announced

Despite disappointing seasons in the win-loss columns, North Harrison and Corydon Central have realistic shots at reaching the Class 3A, Sectional 23 football finals.
The two top teams in the sectional, No. 1 Heritage Hills and No. 4 Charlestown are on opposite sides of the bracket from the Panthers and Cougars.
North Harrison (2-6) will host Edgewood (3-5) in the first round on Oct. 19.
Corydon Central (3-5) drew first-year program Crawford County (0-8). The Panthers will travel to the home of the Wolfpack for the Oct. 19 contest.
The winner of the North Harrison-Edgewood game will play the Corydon Central-Crawford County winner.
On the other side of the bracket, 2000 state champion Heritage Hills (8-0) will host Salem (6-2). The other game features Charlestown (8-0) at Brown County (0-8).
