Robert S. Beasley

Robert S. Beasley, 87, Milltown, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at 9 a.m. at his home.
Born March 10, 1920, in Crawford County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Maude Froman Beasley.
He was the owner of the old Beasley’s General Store in Curby for 21 years, a field representative for Bourbon Stockyards in Louisville for 30 years, a life member of the DAV in New Albany, a member of Posey Masonic Lodge 199 and English VFW Post 6160, and attended Marengo Wesleyan Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Beasley, and three sisters, Alma Woolems, Helen Hoffman and Amzel Hubbard.
Survivors include his wife, the former Wilda (Berdean) Rolle; a son, Danny Lynn Beasley of Milltown; and a brother, Dale Beasley of Tell City.
Funeral: Thursday, Sept. 27, at Marengo Wesleyan Church with interment in El Bethel Cemetery near Milltown.
Masonic rites: Conducted Wednesday, Sept. 26, by Posey Lodge 188.
Officiants: The Revs. Philo Jones and Steve Lock.
Military graveside rites: Performed by members of English VFW Post 6160.
Arrangements: Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown.
