Lowell E. Nicholson

Lowell Elsworth Nicholson, 90, New Albany, formerly of Marengo, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at 7:24 p.m. at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Born Aug. 27, 1917, in Marengo, he was the son of the late Clyde and Zella Nicholson.
He was a World War II veteran, a retired inspector for General Electric, and a member of Northside Christian Church and the VFW Post, both in New Albany.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Key, and a brother, Merrill Nicholson.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Jean Nicholson; three sons, Victor Nicholson of Jeffersonville and Bruce and Jeff Nicholson, both of New Albany; a brother, Jim Nicholson of Marengo; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Oct. 2, after 10 a.m. at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Batman Ridge Cemetery.
