Roy L. McCoy

Roy L. McCoy, 83, Caneyville, Ky., died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of New Albany, he was the son of the late James W. and Althea B. Burgess McCoy.
He was retired as a GM Certified Auto Mechanic from the Coyle Chevrolet Garage in New Albany where he worked for more than 25 years in auto body repair, served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693 in New Albany.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and James.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lorraine Preston; a son, Mark A. McCoy of Louisville; a daughter, Jan Hall of Brandenburg; a stepdaughter, Fay Sieg of New Albany; two sisters, Florence Hash of New Albany and Bonnie J. Mullens of Georgetown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Sept. 28, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in SCI-Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
