Larry (Bear) Hartman, 59, Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Lanesville, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007.
Born Aug. 24, 1948, in Clark County, he was the adopted son of Curtis and Esther Mae Young Hartman.
He was a graduate of New Albany High School, a member of the Army Reserves, a retired employee from Porter Paint Co. after 33 years, a Cub Scout leader, a member of the Ohio Valley Bow Hunter Club and Culbertson Baptist Church in New Albany, a former board member for Franklin Township in Floyd County and attended First Methodist Church in Punta Gorda.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, the former Brenda Summers; a daughter, Michelle English of Lanesville; and a son, Eric Hartman of Georgetown.
Visitation: Thursday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany.
Funeral: Friday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation was chosen.
