Herman J. Stark

Herman J. Stark, 89, Lanesville, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at his home.
Born Sept. 19, 1917, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Theodore and Mayme Bacon Stark.
He was co-owner of Stark Brother’s Feed Mill in Corydon and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Vivian Ann Leist; two brothers, Robert and Earl Stark; five sisters, Lucille Conrad, Mary Romines, Evelyn Ferguson, Laverne Vaughn and Audrey Summers.
Survivors include three sons, Charles, David and William Stark Sr., all of Lanesville; three daughters, Alice Wolfe of Lanesville, Marilyn Schneider of Fort Collins, Colo., and Nancy Stark of New Albany; a sister, Helen Sample of Borden; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Sept. 6, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 7, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon
Funeral Mass: Friday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville followed by burial in Lanesville Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Harold Ripperger.
Pallbearers: Jerry and Gary Wolfe, Patrick, Will, Clayton and Adam Stark, and Chad and Clint Schneider.
Honorary pallbearers: Nathan Barnickle, Jerred Wolfe, Johnathan Stark, Austin Farnsley, Evan and Dylan Schneider and Joseph Thibert.
The family suggests memorial to his church.
