Bernice E. Loweth

Bernice E. Loweth, 79, New Albany, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Elizabeth, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Georgia Ferree Bowling.
She was retired from the Indiana Bell Telephone Co., and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Chapel Hill Christian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George M. (Babe) Loweth.
Survivors include a brother, Charles Bowling of Brownsburg, and two sisters, Kathy Pauline of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Marilyn Leffler of Floyds Knobs.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Hill Christian Church followed by burial in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Chapel Hill Christian Church.
