Richard F. Ballard

Richard F. Ballard, 55, New Albany, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, from injuries sustained that night in a traffic crash along Interstate 65 near Austin.
Born Dec. 24, 1951, in Georgetown, he was the son of the late Henry F. and Barbara E. Ballard.
He was a contractor plumber and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two sons, Richard Ballard and John B. Clem; two daughters, Sherri Keith and Stephanie Troutman; four brothers, Harold Ballard, and Charles, Ted and Jerry Beller; four sisters, Margaret Kincheloe, Betty Begley, Vida Tuley and Stella Lewellyn; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 22, after 10 a.m. at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Funeral: Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
