Robert Brown

Robert Brown, 93, Corydon, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born April 30, 1914, in Corydon, he was the son of the late LeRoy H. and Vada LaHue Brown.
He was a retired farmer and logger, a World War II Army disabled veteran, and a member of the Pisgah Masonic Lodge and VFW Post 2950, both in Corydon, American Legion and York Rite, both in New Albany, the Valley of Indianapolis Scottish Rite and Corydon Christian Church ‘ Disciples of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, the former Verla R. Flock; a daughter, Rebecca R. Ash; two brothers, Rodney Brown of New Albany and Joe Straub of New Middletown; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. There will be a Masonic service Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial, with military honors, in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Pallbearers: Greg Ash, Garrett Ash, Chuck McDowell, Chris Bolen, Lee Reising and Dick Wilson.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
