Melvin L. Woehrle

Melvin Louis Woehrle, 76, Jeffersonville, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at his home.
A native of Jeffersonville, he was a retired quality control inspector for General Electric and Lakewood Drive-in, a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, Jeffersonville Masonic Lodge 340, Scottish Rite in Indianapolis and Order of the Eastern Star 532, a life member of Local 761 IUE and president of the Walnut Ridge Cemetery board.
Survivors include three daughters, Karen Sue Jenkins of Jeffersonville, Bonnie Jean Daniel of Floyds Knobs and Melinda Kay DeWeese of Memphis; a son, Michael B. Woehrle of Sevierville, Tenn.; a brother, Robert Woehrle of Jeffersonville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, July 16, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, July 17, after 9 a.m. at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel.
Funeral: Tuesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church, Hospice & Palliative Care or the Ogle B. Animal Shelter.
