Old Capital set to open par-3

Old Capital Golf Club, one of Southern Indiana’s premier golf courses, will celebrate the grand opening of its three-hole par-3 course on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Golf course owner Doug Breeden and special guest will play the first round on the course as part of the grand opening.
The par-3 course is located in the southeast corner of the golf course property just east of downtown Corydon. The short, three-hole course will be operated as a separate facility, and includes a large lake, water fountain and beautiful, natural areas. Yardages range from 60 yards to 140 yards to serve as a development tool for preparing beginners and juniors to play on the ‘big course.’
The newest addition to Old Capital was built primarily for families, beginners, youths, junior clinics and warm-up holes for seasoned golfers.
Old Capital’s unique par-3 is the only facility of this type in the area. The new par-3 course will be open to the public starting Sunday.
