Wilma G. Walker

Wilma G. Tyler Walker, 87, Marengo, died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at 7:15 a.m. at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Aug. 30, 1919, in Bullitt County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Levi and Josie Hall Tyler.
She was a homemaker, a member of Milltown American Legion Post 332 Women’s Auxiliary and Corydon VFW Auxiliary 2950, and a former member of Highland Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Walker; a son, Thomas Walker; and a granddaughter, Sherry Gresham.
Survivors include three sons, Vernon L. Walker of Milltown, Jerry D. Walker of Pleasant Lake and Keith W. Walker of Marengo; two daughters, Beverly Detenber of Corydon and Diana L. Main of Marengo; a sister, Alberta Langford of Crestwood, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 10, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, July 11, after 10 a.m. at Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Wednesday, July 11, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in Milltown Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Joshua Trotter.
Pallbearers: Michael Benton, Gary Main Jr., Christopher Poe, Eric Walker, Jimmy Walker and Mitchell Wright.
