Lester L. Flanagan

Lester L. Flanagan, 84, Corydon, died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born June 18, 1923, he was the son of the late Lee and Rachel Windell Flanagan.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a former employee of Indiana Utilities in Corydon, a retired welder for the old Naval Ordnance in Louisville, a handyman, and a member of Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ and VFW Post 2950 in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Hedges.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ellen F. Conrad; a daughter, Sheila D. Kingsley of Corydon; and a granddaughter.
Visitation: Monday, July 9, from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, from 2 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 11, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Neal Kentch.
Pallbearers: Fred Cammack, John D. Kintner, Kevin Paul, Rick Utz, K.C. Boss, Earl Hood, Harold Dillman and Clifford Gunther.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
