Harold M. Hardin, 87, Salem, formerly of Corydon, died Monday, June 4, 2007, at 6:23 p.m. at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, Ky.
Born Oct. 26, 1919, in Shepherdsville, Ky., he was the son of the late J.C. Hardin and Glenna L. Harshfield Hardin.
He was a retired farmer and former owner of H & H Drainage, a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II and a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Edna Fay Phillips, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, the former Mary Lee Williams; three sons, Cloyd H. Hardin and Lyle K. Hardin, both of St. Louis, and Milo Hardin of Phoenix; two daughters, Bonita K. Middleton of Louisville and Joyce N. Harder of Chicago; two brothers, Marion and Adrian Hardin, both of Salem; two sisters, Dorothy Dunn of Louisville and Zella Mae House of Salem; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem and Thursday, June 7, after 10 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church.
Funeral: Thursday, June 7, at 11 a.m. at the church followed by interment at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem.
Officiant: The Rev. Lary Cropper.
Full military honors: Performed at the grave site.
