James H. Miller

James H. Miller, 86, died Saturday, June 2, 2007.
Born Oct. 16, 1920, in New Albany, he was the son of the late Claude and Ruth Miller.
He served in the Navy during World War II as a pharmacist mate second class, worked 36 years at Colgate Palmolive, was a longtime member of Wesley Ohio Falls United Methodist Church, and was a member of Elks Lodge BPOE 362 and American Legion Post 35.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mattie Marie Miller; and a sister, Ruth Jean Schuppert.
Survivors include three children, James Miller II of Naples, Fla., Cheryl Proctor of Corydon and Julia Sickles of Hilliard, Ohio; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
Funeral: Wednesday, June 6, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Wesley Ohio Falls United Methodist Church.
