Emmajean M. Pitts, 74, Corydon, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at St. Catherine Regional Hospital in Charlestown.
Born Dec. 29, 1932, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Hilda Trenapol Warrenburg.
She worked as a candlemaker at Squire Boone Caverns, was a member of the Indiana Poultry Breeders Association, American Poultry Association, American Bantam Association and Kentuckiana Poultry Club, was the assistant superintendent of the poultry department at the Harrison County Fair, and was a 4-H leader and council member.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. W. Martin Pitts Jr.
Survivors include four sons, Louis, Jimmy, Clyde David and Danny Pitts, all of Corydon; two daughters, Marcia Bube of Ramsey and Ruth Byerly of Corydon; a sister, Wanda Rice of Monticello; and 14 grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, June 4, from 2 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 5, after 8 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Tuesday, June 5, at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Wilson Groover.
Pallbearers: Louis, Jimmy, Clyde David and Danny Pitts, Justin Byerly, Ethan Bliss, Zachary Bube and Jake Pitts.
