Pearl Koch-Chism

Pearl Eloise Hood Koch-Chism, 90, New Albany, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at her home.
A native of Lebanon Junction, Ky., she was a head cashier for the old White House Dept. Store in New Albany, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, past president of the Women’s Missionary Union, a charter member of Graceland Baptist Church and Sellersburg First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, and past president of the Livewire at Beechland Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Koch.
Survivors include a son, Wayne Koch of English; a daughter, Marilyn Wermuth of New Albany; a sister, Sylvia Harlamert of Louisville; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, June 1, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.
Funeral: Saturday, June 2, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
