Lester (Bud) McRae

Lester (Bud) McRae, 69, Elizabeth, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born May 24, 1937, in Elizabeth, he was the son of the late Courtney M. and Alma Mae Whittinghill McRae.
He was a retired crane operator at Kosmos Cement Co. in Louisville, a car salesman for Ray’s Ford in Brandenburg and a member of Pisgah Masonic Lodge 32 in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill McRae, and a grandson, Alex Simmons.
Survivors include his wife, the former Cletice McAdams; a son, Butch McRae of Elizabeth; two daughters, Kathy Simmons of Brandenburg and Patty Troutman of Laconia; a brother, Larry (Gene) McRae of Indianapolis; a sister, Shirley Neely of Sellersburg; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral: Sunday, April 29, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Rehoboth Cemetery near Laconia.
Pallbearers: Terry Hornickel, Ron Board, Jeff Lillpop, Eric Simmons, T.J. Troutman and Sam McRae.
Honorary pallbearers: Jim McRae and Bud Hoke.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alex Simmons Memorial Scholarship Fund.
