David E. Boone

David (Billy) E. Boone, 76, Marengo, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at 10:46 p.m. at his home.
Born March 26, 1931, in Louisville, he was the son of the late George Monroe Boone and Mary Florence Thompson.
He retired after 20 years as a merchant marine, formerly worked for 3K Machinery in New Albany and was a Navy veteran.
Survivors include his companion, Sharon Morris of Leavenworth; two sons, Doug Boone of Milltown and Dave Boone of Marengo; three brothers, Daniel Boone of Zionsville, Erwin Boone of Hardinsburg and Richard Boone of French Lick; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, April 29, after 10 a.m. at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Sunday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Pilot Knob Cemetery.
Memorial gifts: to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
