Opal C. Curts
Opal C. Curts, 91, Corydon, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born April 29, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mona Crecelius McCollum.
She was a member of Heidelburg United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Curts; five brothers, Audron, Charlie, Adam, Ruel and Jack McCollum; and a sister, Nellie Damon.
Survivors include her children, Norman F. Curts of Brownsburg, William R. Curts of Newport Wash., Ralph L. Curts of Corydon, Kenneth N. Curts of Corydon, John E. Curts of Virginia Beach, Va., David Curts of Corydon and Marilyn Ringer of Attica; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, April 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 7, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
Pallbearers: David, Aaron and Andy Curts, Shane Morgan, and Bill and Christopher Ringer.
Honorary pallbearers: George Nye, Joel Hubbard, James Ward and John Meadows.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association.
