James R. Hoak

James R. (Jim) Hoak, 79, New Salisbury, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at his home.
A native of McKeesport, Pa., he retired in 1984 from the V.A. Medical Center in Louisville, was a 20-year Navy veteran who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and a member of VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693 in New Albany.
Survivors include a son, James G. Hoak of New Salisbury; a daughter, Dee-Anne Bailey of Lanesville; a stepson, Larry Agan of Versailles, Ky.; a sister, Genevieve Kessling of McKeesport; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 28, after 10 a.m. at Kraft Funeral Service’s Charlestown Road Chapel in New Albany.
Funeral: Wednesday, March 28, at 2 p.m. at the chapel with full military honors followed by private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
