Gayle Bunch Trice, 92, Louisville, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., and Ft. Wayne, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at 9:30 p.m. at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville after a brief illness.
A native of Palmyra, she was the daughter of the late Brother Joseph Enoch and Daisy May Brown Bunch.
She graduated from Portland Christian School in 1932 and studied piano at Louisville Tech, where she earned top marks and performed with the Ruston Oratorio Society. Later, she wrote and published church music. She was a housewife, president of the Countryside Garden Club in 1960-61 and a member of Southeast Christian Church since 1978.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Trice; her siblings, Sue Inez Pauline Webber, Loutenia Fern Bunch, Joseph Clifford Bunch, Beulah Beatrice Lindsay, Nellie Marie Bunch, Dr. Victor Lorraine Bunch and Dorris May Bennett.
Survivors include three sons, Terry Lee Trice of Memphis, Tenn., Robert Timothy Trice of Louisville and Clifton Tony Trice of St. Charles, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, March 26, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park, both in Louisville.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Portland Christian School or American Cancer Society.
