Mildred L. Lewis

Mildred Lucille Lewis, 88, Pekin, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Louisville, the former Mildred Lucille Pate, she was a longtime employee of the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corp. before her retirement and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Lewis.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Paula Meyer of Alabama and Peggy Garvin of Clarksville; two sisters, Lelia Howard of Charlestown and Beatrice Walker of Pekin; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany.
Funeral: Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to her church.
