Sectionals postponed to tonight

Ol’ man winter put his clamps on the annual IHSAA girls basketball sectionals yesterday, postponing tournaments at 44 of 64 sites throughout the state, including at Class 3A Scottsburg and Class 1A New Washington.
Both Scottsburg and New Washington have moved their games to tonight (Wednesday).
At Scottsburg, Corydon Central takes on the host school at 6 p.m., followed by a matchup between Silver Creek and Salem.
Due to its seven-team lineup, New Washington will stage a triple-header this evening.
Action gets underway at 5:30 p.m. as Lanesville goes up against New Washington. Twenty minutes after the conclusion of that matchup, Christian Academy battles Henryville, followed 20 minutes later by a game between four-time defending champion South Central and Restoration Christian.
One sectional that was played was at Class 2A Forest Park, where No. 5 Southridge upset No. 4 Crawford County, 53-37.
A complete wrap-up of that game will appear next week.
