Dorothy Mae Smith Williams, 80, Clarksville, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
She retired after 30 years from the old Army ammunition plant in Charlestown, and was a member of the Red Hat Society, Daughters of Isabella and St. Mary’s Catholic Church of New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston A. (Hoot) Williams; her parents, Charles A. and Anna Masterson Smith; and a stepdaughter, Mildred Denbo.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Dunham of Knoxville, Tenn., and Linda Kay Williams of Louisville; a son, Don Williams of Monroe, Ga.; three sisters, Thelma Terry of Cameron, Texas, Laverne Geswein Abbott of Elizabeth and Stella Whitson of Jasper; two brothers, Charles Smith of Sarasota, Fla., and Jim Smith of Jeffersonville; and two grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany.
Rosary service: Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass: Thursday, Feb. 1, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
