Peggy R. Cleveland

Peggy R. Cleveland, 77, Lanesville, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, at the home of her daughter in Lanesville.
She was a retired cytotechnologist who had worked for more than 50 years in various laboratories in the area including Parker Cytology, National Health Lab, Laboratory Corp. of America, Smith Kline, Norton, and Clark and Floyd Memorial hospitals. She was a member of The American Society of Cytopathology, The American Society for Clinical Pathology, The International Academy of Cytology and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville. She was an active thoroughbred owner/breeder and affiliated with associated organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter L. Cleveland Sr.
Survivors include three children, Pamela Litch, Paula Bertloff and Peter L. Cleveland Jr.; two sisters, Betty Richey and Lynda Morgan; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Jan. 28, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 29, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Prayer service: Sunday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Monday, Jan. 29, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers: Peter Cleveland Jr., Brick Bertloff, Trevor Litch, Darrell Litch, Clark Bertloff and Jason Barr.
