Floyd E. Jenkins

Floyd Elmer Jenkins, 88, Marengo, died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at 2:30 a.m. at University Hospital in Louisville.
Born Aug. 14, 1918, in Crawford County, he was the son of the late Lonnie and Mary Hawkins Jenkins.
He was a retired auto mechanic for the former Parks Chevrolet in Corydon and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Jenkins.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Kerr of Russell Springs, Ky., and Doris Yochem of Simpsonville, Ky.; a brother, Russell Jenkins of Floyds Knobs; four sisters, Lula Rodgers and Gertrude Cole, both of New Albany, Brittie Knight of Marengo and Juanita Cole of Leavenworth; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 22, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 23, after 9 a.m. at Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Saturday, Dec. 23, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in El Bethel Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Philo Jones.
Military rites: Performed graveside by Milltown American Legion Post 332.
