Belma Lindsey, 80, Palmyra, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home in New Albany.
Born Feb. 13, 1926, in Dallas County, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Gains Joshua and Mattie Gussie (Maze) Harris.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Flora Alsie Townson, Nettie Feemster, Vera Barnes and Gussie Harris; and two brothers, Hubert Harris and Herbert Harris.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Tuck B. Lindsey; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Cooley of Terre Haute; a son, Donald Lindsey of Palmyra; three sisters, Helen Oakley and Jean Talley, both of Greensboro, N.C., and Laura MacDonald of Houlton, Maine; two brothers, G.J. (Jay) Harris of McLeansville, N.C., and Edward Harris of Asheboro, N.C.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Sunday, Dec. 3, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
