Robert C. Rutherford

Robert C. Rutherford, 82, New Albany, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany.
Born in Owensboro, Ky., he was a retired senior vice president at the old First Federal Savings and Loan Association, a former member of the board of directors of Your Community Bank, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Rutherford; a brother, Tom Rutherford; and a sister, Ann Mitchell.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Oakes of Floyds Knobs; a sister, Nancy Waggoner of Alabama; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 28, from after noon at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes.
Funeral: Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home with private entombment in Graceland Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association.
