Norman E. Craig

Norman E. Craig, 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born in Harrison County, on March 2, 1924, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Mary Pitman Craig.
He retired from Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon, was the caretaker of the Town of Corydon fire station, a member of Fountain United Methodist Church near Corydon and VFW Post 2950 in Corydon, and an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nola Lang Craig; three brothers, Loran, Omer and Melvin Craig; and a sister, Bernetta Baelz.
Survivors include his son, Ronald Craig of Laconia; three daughters, Jeanne Melton of Corydon, Judy Phelps of Lanesville and Becky Seacat of Central Barren; four brothers, Stanley and Carmen Craig, both of Corydon, Gerald Craig of Festus, Mo., and Eldon Craig of New Albany; a sister, Louise Alstott of Corydon; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Nov. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 26, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Sunday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home in Corydon with burial in the Blue River Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Ron Russell. Burial will be in the Blue River Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
Pallbearers: Missy Dennis, Amber Binkley, Ronnie, Scott and Zack Craig, Mickey Page, Ginny Seacat and Jamie Phelps.
Honorary pallbearers: April Cherry, Adam Melton and Evan Lee.
