Virginia M. Andres

Virginia M. (Ginny) Kruer Andres, 82, Starlight, died Monday evening, Nov. 20, 2006, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
She was a school bus driver for 50 years for West Clark Community Schools and a farmer with her husband of 58 years, Richard J. Andres Sr. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight and the Ladies Club of the church.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, Ambrose Kruer Sr., Jude Kruer, Marcella Andres and Shirley Cooley, and a great-grandchild, Kayla.
Survivors besides her husband include four children, Richard (Rick) Jr. and Gregory Andres, and Lynn Donohue, all of Starlight, and Michael K. Andres of Floyds Knobs; six brothers and sisters, Edward Kruer of Floyds Knobs, George Kruer Jr. of Jeffersonville, Norma Johns of Coco Beach, Fla., and Bonnie Huber, Irma Bierman and Martha Schmidt, all of Starlight; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 3 to 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 25, after 8 a.m. at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany.
Rosary service: Friday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral: Saturday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church followed by burial in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or donor’s choice.
