Earl Wayne Barnickle Sr.

Earl Wayne Barnickle Sr., 74, Corydon, a 50-year resident of Harrison Couny, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at his home in Superior, Montana. He was born on August 1, 1932, in Elizabeth, Indiana.
Earl Wayne was preceded in death by Inez (Bray) Barnickle; his parents, Andrew ‘Sam’ and Vada (Liebert) Barnickle; his sisters, Joann Lynn Barnicle and Olive Marie Burns; and two infant grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn Lea Hill (wife of Phillip Hill) of Fairbanks, Alaska, and their son, Phillip Wayne, Vada Marie Heath (wife of Jarrod Heath) and their children, AlexAnndrya, Adrienne, Tresten and Treven of Curtis, Wisconsin, and by his son, Earl Wayne Barnickle Jr. of Superior, Montana.
He is also survived by his sisters, Marilyn Masters of Florida and Joyce Zimmerman of Kentucky, and his brothers, Larry, Roger and Derrill Barnickle of Indiana.
Earl Wayne began his career at Davis Hatchery at the age of 14. He served in the Army in A Battery 7th AA4 Gun Btln during the Korean Conflict. He married Inez Bray on February 2, 1960. He became a master of many trades including plumber, electrician and carpenter. With a lifetime of skills, he retired to Montana to share the skills with those who needed them. He blessed his friends with his handiwork. Hunting and firewood’n became his passion. He was surrounded by his Montana family which included Gary Lynn Stemple, John A. Anderson, Curt, Marlys, Michael and Nicholas Schwaderer.
Earl Wayne requested to be cremated.
Memorial services: Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
