Mildred Allen, 85, Corydon, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at Norton Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Louisville.
Born in Tennessee, on April 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Madeleen Beard Adams.
She and her late husband, Andy, owned and operated Andy Allen Service Station and Andy Allen Mobile Home Park and Sales in Corydon. She was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon.
Survivors include three sons, Terry Allen of Trinity, Fla., Rick Allen of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Mick Allen of Corydon; two daughters, Sharron Berry of Jeffersonville and Pamela Doyle of Greenwood; a sister, Jewell Sampson of Corydon; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 2, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Officiant: The Rev. Douglas Finney.
Entombment will be in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Pallbearers: Donald Smith, Donnie Joe Thieneman, Alan Berry, Scott Boutelle, Chad Allen, Justin Smith, Graham Enlow and Jon Withers.
The family suggests memorial gifts to her church.
