Lovell L. Roberson

Lovell L. Roberson, 75, Leavenworth, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at Veterans Medical Center in Louisville.
Born Jan. 17, 1931, in Bronson, Iowa, he was the son of late Lovell L. Sr. and Emma Garvin Roberson.
He was a mechanic, a tech sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, a member of VFW Post 6160 in English, the Disabled American Veterans and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon, and a past commander of the American Legion in Marcus, Iowa.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Hannah Ellen Turner; a brother, James Roberson; a sister, Mildred Rausch; and a grandson, Shawn Murphy.
Survivors include a son, Ed Roberson of Indianapolis; a daughter, Pamela J. Smith of Leavenworth; five brothers, William Roberson of Kelso, Wash., Richard Roberson of West Sacramento, Calif., Charles Roberson of Beech Grove, Raymond Roberson of Hardinsburg and Kenneth Roberson of Biloxi, Miss.; two sisters, Lucille Shultz of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Mettie Ferguson of Decatur, Ga.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marengo followed by burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father John Fink.
Military rites: Performed by members of VFW Post 6160.
