Robert L. Lurie

Robert L. Lurie, 66, Fern Creek, Ky., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006.
He was a former employee of Durkee Famous Foods and R & L Trucking Co., an Army and Marine Corps veteran, a lifetime member of Fern Creek High School Alumni Association and a member of Marine Corps League, Fern Creek United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 244 and Amvets Post 9.
He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Lurie; a sister, Sue Ellen, and his grandparents, Lee and Nora Neafus Faith, formerly of Laconia.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Lurie; his mother, Vida Lurie; a brother, Tommy Lurie; and three sisters, Libby Castleman, Twilla Grivicic and Deborah Lurie.
Funeral: Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Fern Creek Funeral Home in Louisville with a private burial in Lebanon (Ky.) National Cemetery.
