Christine Eytcheson

Christine Donna Parker Baxley Kirk Eytcheson, 79, formerly of Corydon, died Aug. 19, 2006, in Hot Springs, N.C.
A native of Shelby County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Sarah Mae Tipton Parker.
She was a homemaker, a member of Lusk Chapel Baptist Church and a longtime volunteer at the Veteran’s Hospital in Peru, Ind.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Stanley E. Baxley, father of her children; two other husbands; three brothers, two sisters; and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Steven A. and Donald G. Baxley, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Barbara Dowling of Hot Springs, N.C., Linda Williamson of Columbus and Deborah Carpenter of Batavia, Ohio; a brother, Kenneth; six sisters, Iva, Grace, Mary, Ruth, Virginia and Nora; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Aug. 19, at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville, N.C.
Officiant: The Rev. Scott Dotson.
A memorial graveside service will be Thursday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. The Rev. Robert Dowling, her son-in-law, will officiate. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon is handling local arrangements.
