Edna Mae Smith

Edna Mae Smith, 92, Watseka, Ill., died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at Iroquois Memorial Resident Home in Watseka.
A native of Corydon, born Aug. 26, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Ward and Jacie Binkley Montgomery.
She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ in Sheldon, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Smith, a son, a daughter, two grandchildren, four brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include a son, Donald Smith of Shorterville, Ala.; three daughters, Bettie Obenland and Jackie Shrimplin of Sheldon, Ill., Connie Plumer of Westville, Ill., Judy Taylor of Brook, Ind. and Barbara Childress of Earl Park, Ind.; a brother, Gene Montgomery of Indiana; a sister, Carletta North of Florida, 26 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and 37 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
Funeral: Friday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ with burial in Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon.
Officiants: The Rev. Gary Milton and the Rev. Van Haas.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Iroquois Resident Home, Church of Christ or donor’s choice.
