Donald Leroy O’Brien

Donald Leroy (Dink) O’Brien, 71, Fredericksburg, died Thursday morning, Sept. 7, 2006, at his home.
He was a retired truck driver with the Teamsters Local 89 and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean O’Brien, his parents, Buford D. O’Brien and Kathryn O’Brien Cole, sons David Allen O’Brien and Michael Wayne Bentley, a daughter, Judith (Judy) Wilson, and one grandchild.
Survivors include his best friend and caregiver, Ruby Casey; a son, Donald R. O’Brien of Carrollton, Ky.; four daughters, Donna Eveslage of Palmyra, Phyllis Bentley and Brenda Brugh of Sellersburg, and Susan Shane of Florida; two brothers, Allen O’Brien of Sellersburg and Buford O’Brien Jr. of Louisville; a sister, Mary Blanche Dye of Louisville; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Sept. 9, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 10, after noon, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
Funeral: Sunday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in the Palmyra Cemetery.
