Florine Burns, 90, Elizabeth, died Saturday, Aug. 26, at Clark Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Clarksville.
A native of Todd County, Ky., born Oct. 19, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Creed Penick and Mabel Dorcas Hinton Hooper.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in New Middletown.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hartford Burns; a son, Harold Dean Burns; three brothers, an infant, and Lyle and Hylie Hooper; and a great-grandson.
Survivors include a son, William Wayne Burns of Elizabeth; a daughter, June Troncin Ward of New Albany; a brother, Estell Hooper of Elkton, Ky.; a sister, Pauline Hilbert of Louisville; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, Aug. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 30, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 31, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Neal Kentch.
