Karl Tucker Sr.
Karl Tucker (Gus) Sr., 83, Taswell, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at 1:15 p.m. at Harrison County Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
A native of English, born Aug. 28, 1922, he was the son of the late John J. and Mabel Jones Tucker.
He retired from Crane Naval Base, and was a farmer, a member of Fairview General Baptist Church and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Cordelia (Connie) Tucker, on Jan. 23, 1995.
Survivors include his wife of seven years, Thelma Tucker; four sons, Chris Tucker of French Lick, Karl Tucker Jr. of English, John Tucker of Eckerty and Joe Tucker of Loogootee; three daughters, Linda Harrison of Sellersburg, Cheryl Crays of Loogootee and Karla Hale of Frankfort, Ky.; two stepsons, Mark Eastridge of Corydon and Larry Eastridge of Taswell; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Aug. 7, from 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English, and after noon until time of servcie on Tuesday at Fairview General Baptist Church.
Funeral: Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the church with burial in English Cemetery.
