Girl missing from Corydon found safe
A 17-year-old girl who was reported missing from the Summit View girls’ home in Corydon was found last week.
Leanna Rhode was found, safe, less than four days after her disappearance. The girl’s grandmother, who was posting flyers on Monday, July 10, asking for information about her whereabouts, said Rhode had taken a bus to Maine where her parents live.
Before being found late last Tuesday or early last Wednesday, Rhode was last seen Saturday evening, July 8, about 6:30 when she took the trash out at the girls’ home.
The family was concerned for Rhode’s well-being, as she needs supervision and support in social environments due to a closed head injury she sustained as a child.
