Joan M. Phieler

Joan M. Phieler, 71, Corydon, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Katrina Mini Home in Corydon.
A native of Cincinnati, she was a reitred ocupational registered nurse having workd for H.J. Scheirich Cabinet Co. and Henry Vogt Machine Co., both in Lousiville. She was founding member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in New Salisbury and volunteered in many areas of the church. She was a volunteer at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon and tutored Hispanic children through Madera Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Phieler.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Phieler of Jordan, Minn., and Steven Phieler of New Salisbury, and a brother, Richard Cook of Cincinnati.
Visitation: Friday, June 30, from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, July 1, at Epiphany Lutheran Church in New Salisbury with burial in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lanesville.
Officiant: Pastor Chuck Fischer.
