Ray D. Parker

Ray D. Parker, 76, Corydon, died Friday, June 23, 2006, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Corydon, born May 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Charles Dewey and Estella Woods Parker.
He was a harness racer for more than 60 years throughout the Midwest, including his hometown at the Harrison County Fairgrounds. He was the first person to finish a race with a time under two minutes in Ohio.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Monday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Services and burial will be private.
